Apex Mountain on The Rewatchables
77:40 – 82:12… a PG-13. Why on earth would this movie be rated R? I would love to see the R rated version of this. That's bizarre. The R rated version had Eva Mendes in it. Apex Mountain. I don't really have anything here other than I think you could make a case this is the Apex Mountain for the 21st century Browns. So that's a fun one. So it's supposed to be rated R bill and they had to argue it down to a PG-13. Why on earth would this movie be rated R? I would love to see the R rated version of this. That's bizarre. The R rated version had Eva Mendes in it. Apex Mountain. I don't really have anything here other than I think you could make a case this is the Apex Mountain for the 21st century Browns. After your Baltimore team stole the franchise the team that you love the most which stole somebody else's franchise you took it. You're basically feeling an old wound you know. You're the second wife of the of the the Browns Ravens. You just come in you win some Super Bowls in Baltimore with this Browns franchise. They finally come back in 1999 with an expansion team bring the uniforms back bring the logo back and it's been 21 years and counting of absolute misery at least 10 different people running the team multiple owners God knows how many coaches and quarterbacks you could argue that the last 15 minutes of this movie is the happiest moment the Browns have had in the 21st century. Interesting. I think that that's a compelling case. Thank you. The only thing that might top it and the ringer is complicit in this was the brief moment of collective madness that the sporting public engaged in when you know we did trust the Browns process week as part of our NFL preview last season. Everybody thought that this was really it that the Browns 2019 were really going to break through and be like the it team. They had that moment of being the it team that didn't actually bear out on the field but I think that I think that that was probably the most excited that Browns fans actually ever were this century. I have no other apex mountains. This is nobody's apex mountain. No, maybe Roger Goodell. It's the only time he seemed likable this decade. No, Roger Goodell's apex mountain is the quarantine draft that we just had where he was crushing it from home with the dad vibes and the outfit changes and the massive jar of M&Ms that he kept eating. People loved that. Picking nits. We've mentioned a bunch of them. This is a long category. Well, we've hit a we've hit a few of them. There are more. The Browns owner getting from the draft back to Cleveland in 45 minutes. Okay. I don't understand unless the helicopter was parked on top of the building. It doesn't matter. Even even. But he had a plane. Right. I had a long argument with Jeff Chow about whether this was possible and he. Jeff Chow was involved. Oh, yeah. Wow. You know, this is a big rewatchable so Jeff Chow gets involved. He. He ultimately agreed that this was not possible, but he was contending initially that the helicopter was the key, that if he can get to the helicopter within four minutes, if he can get to the helipad, that he can then take the helicopter to his plane, take his plane to the. Oh, so he's saying helicopter to the plane. Yes, that was his argument. But even that I think is not possible because we see that he is exiting Radio City for road traffic and the traffic in midtown. Yeah, that's 15 minutes. You're done already. You don't even have to talk about anything else. But let's talk about the other parts of it. 466 miles, according to the math that I asked my husband to do a few minutes ago, from from an airport because the plane has to be in an airport in New York. Let's say LaGuardia to Cleveland. Let's say he flies right to the practice facility, lands in the parking lot, walks in. Scale back. Let's give him 20 minutes just in the traffic and let's let's give him the benefit of that that he has a helicopter on a helipad eight blocks away. He only has 40 minutes to work with, though. That's it, because he leaves after the first tip. 40 minutes there. You take the elevator up to the top of the helipad. That's another five. And then you said 466 miles. So he's got to take the helicopter to the plane. That's another at least 15. So now we're at like at least 40 minutes. He hasn't even gotten in the plane yet. And then New York to Cleveland is what, like 45 minutes minimum? It has to be. Yeah, I think a commercial flight checks in at an hour 20, though you obviously have other factors in play there. So yeah. So private's 40 to 45 lands.
