… believably evil though. He's never not evil in a way that. But you think about killing like nine cops over $500,000? It's really wild. It's really wild. Yeah. Apex Mountain. Another great category. Congratulations to all the nominees. Eddie Murphy. I'll say yes. I'll say yes over Beverly Hills Cop, yeah. I think Cop was his apex. Cop's a better overall performance. Because Cop, he's carrying it by himself. But does he ever go for 30 and 15 like he does in this movie? Oh, he went for like 40 and 25 in this one. Cop was like, he left 48 hours and Cop comes out and he doesn't have Dink Dolby, doesn't have Dan …

Something about Gans doesn't sit right with you. It's just that he's so evil. He's so evil. But he's believably evil though. Cop was like, he left 48 hours and Cop comes out and he doesn't have Dink Dolby, doesn't have Dan Aykroyd. It's like, this is my movie. I'm the star of it. And it becomes bigger than the other two. You would put both of those over trading places. Yeah. Yeah. Because Eddie was by far, it was like him and Michael Jackson were the two biggest stars in the world after Cop. Yeah. So I would say that. Nick Nolte, I'm going to say no. You're going to go Blue Chips, Prince of Tides? Probably North Dallas 40, like just for where people thought his career was going, right? For success, he would go Prince of Tides, right? Yeah. I'm looking, I mean. Tough one. He never, I guess maybe he never really had an apex. He's like, he's good. He's good in Cape Fear. I'm going to say no apex. Or if you're going to say rich man, poor man was watched by like 50 million people. He's really good in who'll stop the rain. But yeah, a lot of like really good, but not like definitively incredible. North Dallas 40 is probably his best performance. Like he really, you really do think he played in the NFL. Walter Hill. I'm going to actually say Long Riders, which is his Western that he did right around this time about the James gang. But this is, this is very high up there. I'm going to say this one. Okay. I think what was cool about this movie, San Francisco is such a good movie character and rarely does it get maximized like it does in this movie, but it doesn't always have to be an action movie that maximizes it either. Right? Like Mrs. Doubtfire is a San Francisco movie. Yeah. But it's a comedy. And even like Pacific Heights is a very San Francisco movie. Cop setting to bullets there, you know, Dirty Harry's there. Some good Eastwood movies from there. What was the Steve McQueen movie? Bullet. Yeah. This is like a classic, just kind of makes you want to go to San Francisco. Yeah. They capture that with the soundtrack, all that stuff. He did a great job. And it was kind of a cow town. So, I mean, it historically was a cow town, but capture some of the sort of backwaterness of it that I obviously probably isn't there anymore. Is this Sonny Landum's apex? No, Predator is when he cuts himself across his chest with a knife and waits for the Predator out of the log. That's the apex. Plus, like in Predator, he's basically on the same bill with Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers and all these guys. And Ventura. Yeah, and Ventura. His political mentor. James Remar, 100%, yes. He's been a lot of stuff. My wife wanted me to say that James Remar in Sex and the City is James Remar's apex mountain. Maybe with women. Yeah. Resonates a little bit more. He's also great in The Warriors and then has kind of an ignominious ending. He gets rough with the female cop for no reason. And just you go from like, he's this badass character that you're not supposed to like, but you do. But then you're like, oh, wait, wait a guy. Come on, man. He's just in four or five movies a year. I mean, he's more just like a working. He's in a lot. Yeah. He's in, I was watching What Lies Beneath at two in the morning the other day. And he's in there? He's in that one. Yeah. Olivia Brown, her apex was Miami Vice. What about Frank McRae? Yeah. You're the world's biggest Frank McRae fan. I think that Frank topped out here. Okay. Yeah. Unintentional comedy word. I got to say, not a lot of unintentional comedy in this. It's really all intentional comedy and it's successful. There is one funny moment though, when Jack and Reggie kick the shit out of each other. You know Frank McRae used to play defensive tackle for the Bears? I did not. Yeah. They kick the shit out of each other. They go to the bathroom. You're going to tell me right now, or we're going to do this again. Reggie finally tells them what's up. They go wait for the car in the parking garage, wake up the next morning and Luther comes and the whole day goes. But Reggie goes to bed in the back seat of the car. Yeah. He's like, Jack, tell me a bedtime story. Fuck you. Oh, that's one of my favorites. Then he falls asleep and they keep the camera on Nolte and Nolte has like, he has a hit of his flask and he's looking around and then he just looks into the camera before they cut. It's like the captain, I think he's just drunk. I thought you were going to say that the unintentional comedy is the idea that Eddie Murphy could sleep in the back seat of a sedan, an open top sedan in San Francisco. After being in a fight with Nick Dalton. When it's like 30 degrees at night in San Francisco. And he's always had to eat was a Zagnut. The other unintentional comedy is just Jack's apologies. Nigger and watermelon. I didn't make that stuff. I was just doing my job. Keep me down. Hey, well, doing your job. Don't explain everything, Jack. Yeah, you're right. Just that Eddie accepts it. Yeah. The whole thing's hilarious. Picking nits. I got a lot of picking nits. Jack Gates giving up his gun. Oh, when Jonathan Banks has been shot? Yeah. But not, isn't dead yet. And he's still, he, it's not like. It seems like he has a plan. Is that, is that like, that's not police procedure in 1982 is to be like, yeah, I'm just going to hand over my gun. It wasn't great. Plus these guys have already shot cops. It's not like one cop's going to be enough.
