I can't do better than that it's free just go to ZipRecruiter.com slash rewatch that is ZipRecruiter.com slash rewatch ZipRecruiter the smartest way to hire back to the pod Apex Mountain too early to say because it's only been a year since the movie came out we cannot put it into context I find it hard to believe Jordan Peele is going to top this but I'm anxious to find out coming off Key and Peele and then does this movie and he's nominated for an Oscar and might fucking win if he can top that congratulations to that dude man but can we let's talk about Apex Mountain in a different way then okay like he's going to other people's mountains and and messing with those right like the okay the the the the genesis of the idea for the movie might have come from Delirious but I mean what he's actually doing is doing the thing that that that nobody's really successfully done which is challenge the conceit of guess who's coming to dinner right a movie that at the time lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of people thought was I mean no no real radical thought it was radical but but for the movie for Hollywood in 1967 it was radical it's funny to hear that it was so groundbreaking because when you watch it right now it seems so tame but apparently even back then people were like well this motherfucker is perfect yeah and he's not out in the streets he's got 19 degrees and he's like 30 years older than their daughter right like he's not fucking her right so he's perfect he is no dick I feel like the thing about but nobody really took the movie on as a movie based on other people's filmmaking right like every other movie about interracial relationships basically took the same had the same sort of progressive belief in them and wanted every every time you see an interracial relationship in a movie it is celebrated it is fought for this is the only movie I can think of that presents interracial relationships as a disaster yeah as a disaster waiting to happen and not in a in a like a Chris Rock Kevin Hart routine sort of way this is this this movie is the realist relationship movie interracial relationship movie I've ever seen what do you think Cam yeah I mean thinking back to the translation of the Swahili like listen to your ancestors is so loaded yeah it's really loaded better listen
