… the time it's over. When it's over, he's the man. He is the guy. By the time it's over for sure. And Martin Lawrence, you know, this was, we'll go into it in apex mountain, but this is the peak. Cause he, he starts getting, he unravels a little bit within a couple of years of this. And, you know, really the other two bad boys sequels. And he does life with Eddie Murphy, but, um, I think man, blue streak. Well, I'm saying like, if you're buying Martin Lawrence stock, the stock's the highest right here. In 19. Big mama's house. But just for four movies in a row that succeeded in a really dramatic way, this four movie run, Will Smith has, he's the biggest star in the world. By the time it's over. Big mama's house was, was, was a higher. I think that, I think that the, in comparison to Will Smith, no, but overall, Martin Lawrence became a much bigger star in the two, later on than he is. Yeah. In this movie. Yeah. You think he was a bigger star in the two thousands of the 1990s? Big mama's house. Big mama's house was a, was a joint. It was a joint. How much money, how much, but how much money did big mama's house make? Big mama's house made like 174 million. I think, I think it was something along those lines. I was looking that up. Big mama's house. 2000. So that technically counts in the nineties. And then blue streak, blue streak made a hundred million dollars too. Martin was a big movie star, man. 117 million. Bad boys made more. Bad boys probably definitely made more. Probably definitely made more. Bad boys came out and it was like, they're going to make seven of these. I can't believe they've only made three. Cause those guys both got too big. They both got, it started to be a big deal. We, they just, a Bible. It's so funny. We're doing this rewatchables. They just dropped the movie this year. Yeah. These guys, you know what I'm saying? These guys got too big. It's been three over the course of 30 some odd, 20 some odd years, man. Yeah. Did you see how much that movie made? It made like $440 million or something. The last big, the bad boys for life. I think that's the biggest movie of this year. I mean, yeah, at this point, it's probably going to win best picture. We don't have it. It was like, it was like watching when Tyson fights Roy Jones. I'm going to feel the exact same way as I did for Bad Boys. You know what it was? It was when like Dr. Dre made Compton. It was like, it wasn't like the greatest thing he's ever made, but it was like, all right, bet. Like I could do this in 2016. If you don't give me a Dr. Dre album, I'll take Compton. You know what I mean? Nice to have him back. Right. Nice to have him back. Yeah. Yeah. You know, he might've lost his fastball, but he could still get you out on the corners. Facts. You know what I mean? And so, and I dug, I thought they did some really inventive things with that movie. Actually, I actually dug it for real. I thought it was cool. Yeah. Another guy we have to mention with this movie, Michael Bay. This was his first movie. He was a music video director,

… by Martin Lawrence's stunt double. Got hit accidentally by an AK-47 and was out. And I had to go to the hospital and it slowed down the filming. All right. Apex Mountain. Will Smith, no. No. Martin Lawrence. You guys say no. You guys are saying Big Mama's House 2000. No. No, no, no, no, no. We're saying that he had a second life is what we're saying. Right. Yeah. I say yes for him because he's in Martin and this movie becomes a massive hit. And I think it has to be this. He's doing Def Comedy Jam too, right? He's doing Def Comedy Jam at this point as well, right? Okay. Yeah. I can say that. I mean, I could …

We talked. Oh, T. Leone was accidentally knocked out by Martin Lawrence's stunt double. I mean, I could do that. I think me and Van's argument was more so of like put some more respect on Martin Lawrence's name. I think it's Apex. He had a second life. I think it's Apex Mountain is probably life. I really do. I think it's probably life. Yeah, but Apex Mountain is for when does somebody have the most juice in their career? Yeah. He didn't have that as this much juice after life. Because like coming out of this movie, he's doing whatever the fuck he wants. That's probably true. If he's like, hey, I've decided to do a rap album. People would have been like, cool, here's some money. Yeah. Yeah. He was on a roll. He was like that level. I stand corrected. Yeah. I think this was the Apex Mountain for Club Hell. I don't think it ever got better for Club Hell. I don't know if that was a real club. I think it sounded like a Club Stefan would make up on SNL. So Michael Bay, no. Mid-1990s Porsches, yes. T. Leone, no. Any other Apex Mountains? No. Oh, wait. I have a question. I have a question. Is it Apex Mountain for Miami movies? Great question. You have Scarface, but is this, I mean, is this? Scarface, definitely. There's definitely more than Scarface. Scarface was in 83, and then we don't come back to Miami for years. Okay, so is this Apex Mountain for Miami movies? So Van said earlier how Miami aged the best. To me, Miami is like Gene Hackman. It was never born. It never aged. It's always perfect in every location. So 80s Miami, 90s Miami, 2010s Miami. I just think it wins every time. I don't feel like I've ever changed my opinion on Miami. So that would be my case for no. So mid-90s Porsches, though. Is it the Apex Mountain? Well, not the Apex Mountain. Have we gotten another significant buddy cop movie after this? Yeah, well, we've had many. Like what? I mean, a lot of them didn't work, right? Remember Bulletproof came out. No, I mean like another good one. Has there ever been another hit one? People would argue Rush Hour. Rush Hour. Rush Hour, I guess, would count. Rush Hour would count. Those are two cops. It's the same thing, once again. Yeah, it's the same thing. Okay, cool. Yeah, yeah, that makes sense. Pick and Nets. All my Pick and Nets are Julie related. Why didn't they just tell her? Yeah, I mean, she's the centrifugal force for all the Pick and Nets. Why didn't they just tell her earlier that Mike was Marcus, Marcus was Mike? They could have banned that out a half hour earlier. What difference is it going to make? Say it when you're in the car. Like when she's in the car with you, just say it. After they initially do the thing, like they do the switch, maybe because she wouldn't go. Remember, she was like, I'm only going to talk to Mike Lowry. Mike Lowry in here, okay. So you do that, you protect her for a night, and then you go, just to let you know, this is actually Mike Lowry. We just wanted you to be safe. Blah, blah, blah, blah. It makes no sense. It makes for a good subplot. It's almost like a different movie, by the way. Some kind of weird French comedy that they're doing on the underbelly of the movie. But it makes no sense to keep that ruse going. Well, you know what it is? It's an homage to the stuff I grew up with, where Three's Company, which was one of the biggest shows of the 70s, every episode is some sort of misunderstanding, or somebody thought this, or I have to pretend to be this because we're going to get in trouble if they find out. Mr. Furley thinks that Jack is- Yeah, so to me, it's like an homage to that, but they could have gotten out of it 20 minutes before, because I actually think it's a better movie if they get out of it earlier, and then Mike and Julie have some sexual attention, because that might be the only way to redeem the Julie character. Right. I think my biggest thinking is just, and I know this is probably just going to throw off the whole movie, but there's so much police malpractice in here. I think I brought this earlier, of them just coming in the house like, oops. Bro, actually, we didn't get to my what age the worst, but all of that shit like that- There's no warrant, bro. There's that. There's no warrant. They just went in. Bro, also, even in the last scene where they shoot the drug dealer, he's running away, my G. Like, you shot him literally in the back as he's running away from you. We have to talk about this. We don't want to, like, all of that stuff that happens in movies like that now, every time it happens, I'm significantly triggered. Yeah. Every time that happens, I'm like, yo, man, you didn't read that man, his Miranda rights.
